Jason Zuckerman, principal of Washington-based Zuckerman Law, said the latest whistleblower award could lead more analysts to bring tips to the commission. “There’s a very large hedge fund industry industry in the United States. You have all these expert analysts who are poring over corporate financial statements and public disclosures all day. And they have very valuable analysis to offer the SEC.
