The first way is to check with your company’s HR policies and procedures, and often times they will have a process that you’re supposed to follow in order to file a complaint within the company about discrimination or harassment that you’ve suffered. The second way is to file a claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the EEOC, and they often times, depending on what state you live in, there is a state administrative agency that is the sister agency of the EEOC where you can also file a complaint. That’s a more formal process and it’s a requirement that you file a claim with the EEOC under title seven before you can file a case in Federal court.
