Whistleblower Lawyer Will Speak at DC Bar Program About Whistleblower Rights, Protections and Challenges

Whistleblower lawyer Jason Zuckerman, Principal of Washington DC whistleblower law firm Zuckerman Law, will speak at a DC Bar program on April 4, 2017 titled “Whistleblower Rights, Protections and Challenges.”

Zuckerman is honored to join Darshan Sheth of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel and Robert Storch, Deputy Inspector General, Department of Justice, to address topics concerning whistleblower rights and protections.

This program will focus on the state of whistleblower rights and protections, including the rights of federal employees under the Whistleblower Protection Act, prohibitions against gag policies, a recent Federal Circuit case limiting the right of federal employees to refuse to carry out an unlawful order, protections for disclosures about scientific integrity, and the important role of Inspectors General play in rooting out fraud, waste and abuse. In addition, the program will address key developments for private sector whistleblowers, including proposed legislation and recent legislation strengthening rights of FBI employees, contractors and grantees.

This dynamic panel of experts in whistleblowing rights, both current and emerging, will teach you everything you need to know about handling these matters as either an agency attorney or a private sector attorney.

This “Off the Record” brown bag program is sponsored by the D.C. Bar Labor and Employment Law Section. Cosponsored by the Arts, Entertainment, Media and Sports Law Section, the Courts, Lawyers and the Administration of Justice Section, the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Section and the Litigation Section.
