Whistleblower Lawyer Dallas Hammer Quoted About Cybersecurity Whistleblowing

Whislteblower lawyer Dallas Hammer, Chair of Zuckerman Law’s Whistleblower Rewards Practice, was quoted in an article in CSO titled “Cybersecurity whistleblowers: Get ready for more.”  The article discusses legal protections for employees that suffer retaliation for raising concerns about deficient or inadequate cybersecurity, including protection afforded by the whistleblower provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Citing Mr. Hammer’s article titled “SEC Enforcement Action Portends Rewards for Cybersecurity Whistleblowers,” CSO reports that cybersecurity issues have become a key enforcement priority for the SEC and that cybersecurity whistleblowers could be eligible for a whistleblower reward under the SEC’s whistlebower reward program.  In the course of representing cybersecurity whistleblowers, Mr. Hammer has analyzed a wide range of issues that often arise in these cases, and recently published an article discussing the securities law implications of cybersecurity whistleblower disclosures.
